The roles played by parents are undeniably vital in nurturing the good habits and shaping up the good characters which will determine the destiny of the children.
Children learn what they live, they learn from their parents since young.
Unfortunately, some children out there are neglected, sidelined, abused or abandoned. They cry silently without the understanding and empathy from the members of the family and societies. This is not only happening in childhood but also in adulthood where the parents are extremely biased to the extent jeopardizing the family-bond.
Children are not always in the wrong but to the conservative families, the elderly are not supposed to be blamed whenever conflicts and disagreements occurred.
Although it's hard to handle family issues, yet all the members of the families should have mutual respect in fostering a harmonious and blissful relationship. The devotion and sacrifices contributed from the filial children should be appreciated and not to be regarded as the should-do responsibilities. Parents, when come to the conflict of disagreements among the siblings, in the first place shouldn't be judgmental and make any statement before investigating.
In conjunction with mother's day and father's day, be thankful and grateful if we are blessed to have responsible and amicable parents who are always there with us as the life-mentor and moral-supporters. If we are also the parents, do remember never ever hurt children physically or mentally, we give them life and we should love and care for them.
Statistics show there are 10 dumping babies cases every month and 1000 children reported as victims of child abuse and neglect every year in Malaysia, excluding the silent bullies happen in families. This is literally heart-wrenching to know the tragics.
Whilst we are celebrating the Parents' Day, should we or specifically the department concerned to do something or take action to eliminate the threats and bullying suffered by those unfortunate children?
Happy Mother's day and Father's day to all those parents who are deserved to be respected.
